Former Slovak downhill skier
We don't need to introduce Veronika. The skier who made Slovakia famous at the world level. During her career, she participated in 4 Olympics and inspired many young people to this beautiful sport. Veronika currently lives in France, is raising a beautiful son, and you can see her as an employee of RTVS during live entries and studies from world skiing events. Our successful Slovakia, of which we are rightly proud, wears Kari Traa - a brand designed by women for women.

Young Slovak biathlete
Veronika Machyniaková is a Slovak biathlete who has been representing Slovakia in the Biathlon World Cup since the 2019/20 season. Previously in the IBU Cups and at the World Junior Biathlon Championships. Veronika has been the ambassador of women's brand Kari Traa for 5 years. The Norwegian brand Kari Traa is a purely women's brand and because it is designed by women for women, the collections meet all their needs in an active life.

High mountain cottage Plesnivec
The Matava family has been managing the Plesnivec chalet, the only alpine chalet in the Belianske Tatras, for a quarter of a century. Janči has been at this cottage since he was born. In the Tatras, however, you will not only meet him looking after the cottage, but also running or skiing, especially in his beloved "Belianka". Janči is also the organizer of the first cross-country races in the Belianske Tatras – Plesnivec Sky Run and Plesnivec Vertical Run.

Ironwoman from Slovakia
Alena is a qualified triathlon coach, professional triathlete, mother of two children and the beautiful ambassador of Kari Traa. He currently lives under the Tatras, in Poprad. He trains triathletes and individual triathlon disciplines locally, but also internationally. At the Hawaiian Ironman, she achieved the best time ever of 10 hours 23 minutes and holds the fastest Slovak time in this distance (9 hours and 30 minutes in 2016).

Mountains are everything to me. I can't imagine life without them. They gave me a beautiful wife, who in turn gave me two beautiful children, I found my best friends in them and experienced a lot with them. Today I am returning to those mountains, already for the responsible work of a mountain guide and an air ambulance doctor... and I still enjoy it very much.

Lucia Moncman is a fitness trainer with 13 years of coaching experience and a certified Strollering instructor. It is an exercise in the fresh air, which effectively combines fast sports walking with a stroller and cardio - strengthening exercises. In addition, she organizes fitness stays for mothers. You could also meet Lucia as a trainer at our Kari Traa Urban Trainings.
Memorial of V. Tatarka and P. Šperka
In the footsteps of those who are no longer among us International race of mountain services, which takes place every year in the High Tatras. We are proud to be the general partner of this event for several years. The Memorial of Vlad Tatarka and Petr Šperka is a race that contributes to preserving the name of people who were sports and human role models for many. At the same time, they are a pleasant meeting of HZS members from various centers in Slovakia and abroad.
Plesnivec Sky Run
The first high-altitude run in the heart of the Belianske Tatras with a length of 26 km and an elevation of 1300 meters. The route leads through a beautiful environment from the start in Monková dolina (Ždiar) through Široké sedlo – Kopské sedlo around the Plesnivec cottage through the Tatranská basin to the starting point of Monková dolina. We are glad to be the general partner of this beautiful race from the beginning.
Chata pri Zelenom plese
The cottage, also known as Brnčalka, is located at the end of the Zelené pleso valley. Just above it rises the Jastrabia tower, on the top of which there was said to be a large gem. A young man wanted to bring it to his sweetheart. He climbed up and when he almost had it, the rock shook and he fell into the mud with the gem. Since then, Zelené pleso has been green.
Skalnatá chata - High Tatras
Tatra mountain huts have been places where people feel closer to each other for decades. The rocky cottage is situated in the center of the rocky valley on the Tatranská magistral at an altitude of 1725m. This cozy cottage is located only 5 minutes from the cable car station at Skalnat Pleso. The fastest way to get to the cottage is by cable car or on your own. The cottage is open all year round, so you can enjoy the views of the entire Podtatra basin at any time of the year.
Chata Plesnivec (1290 m n.m.)
The only alpine hut in the Belianske Tatras – Plesnivec. Hidden in the forest, under the beautiful massif of limestone Belianok, it is a popular refuge for tourists. The Matav family has been managing this beautiful cottage for a quarter of a century.
Výšiny - Tatra Festival
The first sports and cultural festival in the Tatras The Tatra Heights is a sports and cultural festival for all lovers of mountains, hiking and nature. He wants to bring culture to the Tatras, meet, talk, learn something new and inspire each other. The stories of the hut-keepers, porters, climbers and filmmakers will be varied with musical performances and other accompanying events for children and adults.
SKIMO - Tatranská Lomnica
The children's ski alpine race is intended for children and juniors in the categories - years 2008 - 2016. The start is free and each participant will receive a nice memory - a participation medal - at the finish line.
